Project Snapshot is an 18-week black and white photography program that will teach students the fundamentals of analog film photography.
Students will utilize these traditional photographic methods to portray their own visual interpretations of the world around them. Students will also explore various traditional and contemporary styles and approaches to documentary photography through lectures, guest speakers and established local photographers. Each student will be encouraged to find their own unique, personal artistic voice in order to create a body of photographic work that may be shared with the public via online and gallery exhibitions.
Students will demonstrate mastery of the analog photographic process including 35 mm camera functions, film processing, and making photographic prints in the darkroom. Instruction will be delivered through presentations, demonstrations and hands-on application.
