As the year comes to a close, we ask that you consider a gift to the Cleveland Print Room’s Annual Fund to help us to continue to bring the very best of photography to Cleveland. 2014 has been an exciting and busy year of firsts for us here at CPR – we held the first Ohio exhibition of internationally-renowned photographer Vivian Maier, which brought over 2,500 people into our downtown gallery, and our first Cleveland Foundation Creative Fusion International Artists-in-Residence arrived to work with our community. Our exhibitions this year included Lost & Found, featuring found photos and collectors/dealers from around the country; Hidden Mother: Reimagined, which showcased local women photographers’ interpretations on the old, historic hidden mother images; a show entitled By Any Means Necessary: Observations, Experiences, Perpetuations of Racism; and the first exhibition ever for 76-year-old photographer, Clarence A.Wilkins: Uncovered. Additionally, we wind up the year with our second annual Off The Wall Members Showcase, displaying the photography of our valued members and selling the work straight off the wall. The Cleveland Print Room (CPR) started with the dream of providing access to a community dark room to those with a passion for emulsion-based photographic images and processes.  In two short years, CPR’s membership has reached over 350 members, and has grown to encompass gallery shows, workshops, lectures and educational classes for youth and adults.  A newly-formed Board of Trustees and I are pleased to announce that CPR has officially become a recognized nonprofit organization and can continue to serve the community for years to come.  With financial support from those who understand the need to preserve traditional photography, we promise to continue to offer a wide range of innovative programming to the public. Please make a donation to CPR’s Annual Fund and keep analog photography alive! Your support will help us in creating an inspiring year ahead with more extraordinary exhibitions, innovative programming and youth education.CPR’s staff and Board of Directors thank you in advance for your generous support. We look forward to welcoming you to CPR’s many exhibitions, programs, and classes. Join us as we begin another amazing year!
